Haagenrud's career spans over nearly two decades starting out as camera assistant in the early nineties and enlisted as first assistant camera for legendary cinematographer Sven Nykvist, ASC

Focusing in recent years on tv-drama series Haagenrud recently completed first season of The Devils Star by Jo Nesbø as 2nd Unit Director of Photography under Ronald Plante, CSC. On the art house movie The Fishing Place directed by Rob Tregenza who also served as DOP Haagenrud operated one takes from 3 to 11 minutes on a FlightHead mini on a Felix crane based a mobile truck. Haagenrud was DOP on three seasons and a total of 24 episodes on the tv-drama series EXIT with an all star nordic cast including Simon Berger, Agnes Kittelsen, Pål Sverre Hagen, Ine Wilmann, Rolf Lassgård, Jon Øigarden, Tobias Santelmann and Jesper Christensen. Written and directed by Øystein Karlsen and produced by Fremantle for NRK. The series has been sold to over 30 countries and has gained the highest viewer rating of any dramaseries in the nordic market. Haagenrud also enlisted as Director of Photography on the TV-drama "Wisting 2 and 3" directed by veteran helmer Trygve Allister Diesen, and "Beforeigners 2" directed by Jens Lien. Previously as D.oP on the Netflix Original " Lillyhammer 3" as well as the ViaPlay drama comedy series "Swedish Dicks Season 1 and 2 with Peter Stormare and Keanu Reeves.
Haagenrud also shot four seasons and forty episodes for local broadcaster TV2 the multiple award nominated drama series DAG - starring Atle Antonsen and Tuva Novotny. Written and directed by Øystein Karlsen. Haagenrud received an Emmy for the Official Olympic Film from Lillehammer in 1994 and the Gullruten Fagpris Award for Best Cinematography for Exit in 2020. Haagenrud is one of the co-founders of Moviebird Norway - the leading U-Crane, Technocrane and Grip rental company in Norway.
